Spending nearly three decades around the men’s basketball program at Oregon Tech, Mike Pisan was instrumental in helping the Hustlin’ Owls reach new heights. A longtime teacher and administrator in the Klamath Falls City Schools, Pisan spent two stints on the bench alongside Dan Miles, while also spending over a decade next to Bobby Thompson on OIT radio broadcasts.
· Was a part of the men’s basketball coaching staff in 1978-79 and 1979-80, helping the Hustlin’ Owls to their second NAIA National Tournament appearance in 1979.
· Served as color analyst on Oregon Tech basketball broadcasts from 1990 to 2001 - describing four Hustlin’ Owls trips to the NAIA Championships.
· Rejoined the Hustlin’ Owls bench from 2001-02 to 2015-16, elevating to both associate head coach and senior associate head coach, helping the team to 385 wins in 15 seasons.
· Helped the Hustlin’ Owls win the 2004, 2008 and 2012 NAIA Division II National Titles, along with Cascade Conference regular-season titles in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009-12.
· Served as tournament director for the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round Tournament in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
