SALEM, Ore. – Oregon Tech closed out the women's track and field regular-season, competing at the Norm Berney Classic, hosted by Corban University.
Three runners established new Cascade Conference qualifying marks on the day, with the Lady Owls winning five individual races, along with both relays.
Lily Everson was a double winner, taking first in both the 100-meter hurdles (17.08) and 400-meter hurdles (1:07.62).
Saundra Parsons was victorious in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:28.25), with teammates
Aubrey Strang (12:16.99) and Ava Shackleford (12:46.44) each qualifying for the CCC Championships.
Also on the track,
Ava Blatchford hit the CCC provisional with a personal best 400-meter time of 1:00.73, while
Chloe Crawford won the 5,000-meters (19:06.01).
The Lady Owls also recorded personal best times in the 4x100-meter relay (49.06) and the 4x400-meter relay (4:01.29).
In the field events,
Amina Redfield dominated the javelin, with a mark of 39.24 meters (128 feet, 9 inches).
Caitlyn Horrell was second in the discus (34.65 / 113-8), as was
Kalina Saechao in the shot put (11.62 / 38-1 ½).
Tech now has their eyes set on the CCC Championships, set for May 10-11, in La Grande.
