Lily Everson sits in ninth-place and
Madi Perkins is in 13th, as the Oregon Tech women's track team competed in Day 1 of the heptathlon at the Cascade Conference Multi-Event Championships at Raider Stadium.
Everson finished the day with 2,099 points through four events – just off her personal best score – while Perkins score 1,772 points, a new personal mark.
Everson opened the day with a PR in the 100-meter hurdles (17.01), before recording marks of 1.28 meters (4 feet, 2 ½ inches) in the high jump and 7.88 meters (25 feet, 10 inches) in the shot put, ending the afternoon with a fourth-place effort in the 200-meters (26.87).
Perkins had personal best times in both the hurdles (18.04) and the 200 (29.52), adding marks of 1.25 meters (4-1 ¼) in the high jump and 8.21 meters (26-11 ¼) in the shot put.
Eastern Oregon's Lizzy Grandle won all four events on the day and has a commanding lead with 3,136 points heading into Friday's competition.
Day 2 will begin with the long jump, followed by the javelin, with the 800-meters rounding out the event.
