MORGAN HILL, Calif. – Oregon Tech opened the spring portion of their men's golf season, playing Rounds 1 and 2 of the RCA Electric Invitational at Coyote Creek Golf Club.
The Owls struggled on the day, finishing 43 strokes behind leader Menlo (301-303 – 604), as OIT carded rounds of 325 and 322 on the par-72 track.
Cayson VanBeekum (75-81 – 156) was in the Top-5 after today's opening round, but will head into Round 3 in a tie for 16th.
Two other Hustlin' Owls are in the Top-40 –
Grayson Moore (81-80 – 161) in 31st and
Issey Tanimura (85-78 – 163) in 38th.
Tomorrow's final round is set for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
