LEWISTON, Idaho – Three Oregon Tech golfers shot even-par or better final rounds, helping the Hustlin' Owls move into third-place in the final standings at the Cascade Conference Men's Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Lewiston Country Club.
Silas Guzlas finished Day 3 with a 2-under-par 70,
Cayson VanBeekum shot a 1-under-par 71 and
Jack Tieman posted an even-par 72, helping Tech (297-296-286 – 879) shoot a 2-under-par team score – moving past Bushnell (301-291-293 – 885) in the final standings.
Lewis-Clark State (288-284-280 – 852) earned an upset victory, finishing the 54-hole tournament at 12-under-par, becoming the first CCC team to beat British Columbia (293-285-278 – 856) in the league final since the T-Birds joined the circuit in 2018.
LC's Andrea Artugini (70-72-67 – 209) earned medalist honors at 7-under-par, one shot ahead of Bushnell's Matt Forsyth (72-69-69 – 210).
Guzlas (76-71-70 – 217) was OIT's top finisher in sixth-place, ending the tournament at 1-over-par.
Jack Tieman (72-76-72 – 220) was 16th,
Grayson Moore (72-76-73 – 221) was 19th and
Issey Tanimura (80-73-79 – 232) was 31st.
VanBeekum (77-76-71 – 224) had his best round of the week in today's final round – taking 22nd – but also earning All-CCC honors, finishing in the Top-10 in league stroke average among the 12 tournament rounds.
