ROSEBURG, Ore. –
Lily Everson closed out her first-ever heptathlon with a second-place finish, closing out the two-day Riverhawk Invitational at Umpqua Community College.
The senior finished with 3,422 points – which included a win in the seventh and final event, the 800-meters (2:35.77). Everson posted marks of 4.31 meters (14 feet, 1 ¾ inches) in the long jump and 19.94 meters (65-5) in the javelin.
Madi Perkins placed seventh for Tech with a personal best score of 3,010 points. Perkins finished second in the javelin (32.68 / 107-2) and third in the 800 (2:47.09), while recording a long jump of 4.30 meters (14-1 ½).
The Lady Owls return to the track in two weeks at the Jenn Boyman Invite in McMinnville.
