SALEM, Ore. –
Maevri Bergerson won the triple jump with a school record mark, one of four Oregon Tech winners at today's Corban Indoor/Outdoor Meet.
Competing in rainy conditions, the freshman posted a jump of 10.73 meters (35 feet, 2 ½ inches) to run away from the competition – well ahead of Jasmine Jones previous mark of 10.39 meters in 2019.
Saundra Parson cruised to a win in the 3,000-meters (10:39.80), with
Tiffany Humpherys earning a victory in the 400-meters (1:02.06) and
Aurora Atwood winning the shot put (11.61 / 38-1 ¼).
Four Lady Owls earned runner-up finishes –
Caitlyn Horrell in the weight throw (13.58 / 44-6 ¾),
McKenna Donovan in the long jump (5.05 / 16-7) and 60-meters (8.06), along with Humpherys in the 200-meters (27.79). Bergerson added a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (10.64).
OIT will close out the indoor regular-season in two weeks at the Eastern Oregon Last Chance Meet.
