SALEM, Ore. – Oregon Tech earned eight individual victories, as the Lady Owls claimed the team title at the Berney Invitational, hosted by Corban University.

OIT scored 166 points in the eight team meet, finishing just ahead of host Corban (153).
The Lady Owls swept the sprints – as
McKenna Donovan ran a season-best time in the 100-meters (12.49),
Sydney Soskis won the 200-meters (26.01) and
Tiffany Humpherys claimed the 400-meters (1:00.60). In addition,
Ava Blatchford clocked season best time of 1:01.00 in the 400-meters – missing the Cascade Conference provisional mark by just 0.07 seconds.
Lily Everson won the 400-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 1:06.82, with
Charis Childers rolling to a win in the 5,000-meters (19:04.10).
In the field events,
Aurora Parsons won the javelin, recording a season-best mark of 39.89 meters (130 feet, 10 inches), as did
Sophia Small in the triple jump (10.57 / 34-8 ¼). Donovan was a double-winner, claiming the title in the long jump (5.27 / 17-3 ½).
Next week, the Lady Owls will take a small crew to Corvallis for the OSU High Performance Meet – the last qualifier prior to the Cascade Conference Championships.
