HENDERSON, Nev. – Oregon Tech closed out competition at the RMC Intercollegiate with an eighth-place team finish at Reflection Bay Golf Club.
The Hustlin' Owls (325-315-316 – 956) were one shot off their top round of the tournament and finished just seven shots out of seventh place in the highly competitive field. British Columbia (281-302-299 – 882) won the tournament title by one stroke over The Master's (290-296-297 – 883).
Silas Guzlas (83-77-78 – 238) had the best round of the day for the Owls, with the freshman finishing in 29th-place. The trio of
Tyler Vassar (82-80-79 – 241),
Jack Tieman (79-84-79 – 242) and
Kade Bracken (84-79-80 – 243) finished 33rd through 35th, with
Issey Tanimura (81-79-85 – 245) in 37th.
Jonathan Larson (68-75-68 – 211) of TMU earned medalist honors, rallying from a two-stroke deficit to claim the win.
Tech will return to the course in three weeks at the Simpson Spring Invitational.
