SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A dominant performance by the Oregon Tech women's cross country team led the Lady Owls to the team title of the Bushnell Invitational at Pine Ridge Golf Course.
OIT had all five scoring runners in the Top-12, finishing the meet with 22 place-points – well ahead of conference rivals Bushnell (46) and Northwest (68).
Charis Childers (23:47) and
Jane Kuebrich (23:54) were the Top-2 collegiate finishers – placing third and fourth overall.
Corinne Childers (24:08) placed eighth,
Chloe Crawford (25:06) was ninth and
Raleena Maxson (25:31) took 12th.
Both
Ava Robinson (27:22) and
Eli Haas (30:33) recorded personal best 6,000-meter times, with
Natalie Hammond (28:51) finishing as Tech's No. 7 runner.
"I am really proud of how we ran today," said OIT head coach
Mike Anderson. "Huge effort by both Corinne and Jane and a really good race from Chloe. Charis beat some legit runners."
OIT will return to action in two weeks, competing at the Cascade Conference Championships.
