KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Both
Tyler Vassar and
Jack Tieman shot final round 2-under-par 70s, as Oregon Tech jumped two spots in the final standings, placing third overall at the Run-In at the Ranch, hosted at the Running Y Resort.

The Hustlin' Owls (306-290 – 596) carded a season-best 2-over-par 290 in the finale, finishing 13 shots behind team champion Menlo (295-288 – 583) and second-place Southern Oregon (292-293 – 585).
OIT had four players in the Top-10 of the 51-player field – including Tieman (77-70 – 147) and
Issey Tanimura (75-72 – 147), who led the scoring players for the Hustlin' Owls, tying for eighth. Vassar (76-70 – 146) took fourth overall with a bogey free final round and
Kade Bracken (74-74 – 148) tied for tenth – but the duo played as individuals.
Simpson golfer Trey Alwert (70-72 – 142) earned medalist honors, finishing ahead of Menlo's Nicolas-Guy Landry (75-70 – 145) and Bushnell's Ben Lovrod (72-73 – 145).
Four other Hustlin' Owls competed – with
Silas Guzlas (76-74 – 150) in 17th and
Kellen Humphries (78-74 – 152) in 24th.
Tyce Helmick (78-81 – 159) and
Carter Borror (91-92 – 183) rounded out the OIT players.
Tech hits the road next week, traveling to California for the Danish Classic, hosted by The Master's.
