OPPONENT PREVIEW – ROCKY MOUNTAIN (3-0-4, 1-0-2 CCC) | 13TH MEETING | SERIES TIED 5-5-2 | LAST MEETING – 2025 (RMC 1, OIT 0): October action begins Friday, as an unbeaten Rocky Mountain squad makes the long trip from Billings to the Basin. The Battlin' Bears have recorded draws this season against Hastings, Morningside, Northwest and Carroll, logging wins against OUAZ, Arizona Christian and Evergreen. RMC is averaging over two goals per match, behind All-CCC forward Charlize Davis (6 goals, 4 assists), Molly Loughton (3 goals, 3 assists) and Mia Daskalovska (2 goals, 4 assists). A pair of all-conference players lead the back line, as keeper Matea Vernon (1.29 GAA, .690 save pct, 20 saves) and defender Grace Curnow (2 goals) are the anchors. OIT has never lost to Rocky in Klamath, posting a 3-0-1 all-time record.
 
OPPONENT PREVIEW – CARROLL (2-2-4, 1-0-2 CCC) | 17TH MEETING | CAR LEADS SERIES, 10-5-1 | LAST MEETING – 2025 (OIT 1, CAR 1): The 3-match homestand closes on Saturday, as Tech hosts Carroll, as the Fighting Saints enter the weekend with an undefeated league record. The Montana side has a 5-1 victory over Northwest to their ledger, but played Rocky Mountain and Evergreen to draws, with the Saints scoring 10 total goals in eight matches. All-CCC forwards Rachel McAllister (3 goals, 2 assists) and Delaney Mozcan (2 goals, 1 assist), along with Makayla Schnabel (3 goals) lead the attack, with the defense paced by 3-time All-CCC keeper Maria Ackerman (0.91 GAA, .816 save pct, 31 saves) and All-CCC defender Avery Lambourne. OIT holds a 4-2 series lead in the Basin, including 4-straight wins.
 
TOUGH LOSS TO RIVAL: Facing an undefeated Southern Oregon squad was a tough task for a home opener, but the Lady Owls played 90 minutes of quality soccer – a nearly even match on the stat-sheet. Tech kept the Raiders off the board throughout the first half and generated quality attacks, with the pressure continuing throughout the final 45 minutes. Unfortunately for OIT, Southern finished a pair of tough chances – two 20-yard shots in traffic – to secure a 2-0 victory, ending the Owls 12-match home unbeaten streak.
 
GOALS EQUAL WINS: Scoring a goal in a match has been crucial to the success of the Lady Owls this season. In Tech's four victories, the club has scored 2-or-more goals in each of the victories, while in the four losses this season, the Owls have failed to register a goal.
 
MORE 90'S: Four field players never left the pitch during the Southern Oregon match – as Maegan Cooper, Alyssa Hudman, Naaliyah Robinson and Kaylie Hashizaki all played the full 90 minutes in the contest. It was the eighth-straight full-90 for Hudman, the only Lady Owl to play ever minute of every match, with Robinson playing a full-90 for the fourth-straight contest and Cooper playing 90 minutes in three of the last four games.
 
SUCCESS AT HOME: Playing at home is key for the Lady Owls, as during the first 26 seasons of women's soccer at OIT, the club is 120-61-20 in matches played in Klamath Falls. Since the school installed turf at the on-campus venue in 2017, Tech has been nearly unbeatable, recording a 51-7-9 mark, including a 37-match unbeaten streak from 2017-22.
 
AROUND THE CCC: Week 2 of the CCC schedule was a wild adventure, as only College of Idaho won two matches – winning at Corban and Bushnell. Upsets were abound, as Evergreen played Carroll to a road draw, Northwest played Rocky Mountain to a draw in Billings, while Bushnell scored four second half goals to stun Eastern Oregon. This week, C of I travels to EOU for the travel partner game, Providence makes the trip to Northwest and Evergreen, Bushnell and Corban head out to Warner Pacific and Walla Walla, with Carroll and Rocky at OIT and Southern.
