KIRKLAND, Wash. - Northwest University converted a goal late in the first half and made the chance hold up, as the Eagles topped Oregon Tech, 1-0, in a Cascade Conference women's soccer match-up at the NU Soccer Field.
The loss for the Lady Owls (4-3, 1-1 CCC) snapped a 2-game win streak and ended a string of seven consecutive road games to open the 2026 season. Tech will finally return home on Friday, hosting rival Southern Oregon at 12 p.m.
The Eagles (2-2, 1-1) broke through in the 38th minute, as a cross by Jersey Walker caught Tech keeper
Elle Hillar off her line, with Madison Coulter sneaking in at the back post to drive home the goal.
OIT had three chances in the second half - including two shots on frame from
Naaliyah Robinson, but NU keeper Allie Tiechner made the save, recording the first shutout of her season.
The hosts finished with a 10-6 edge in shots, with the two sides combining for 28 fouls and a trio of cautions.
