Silas Guzlas sits at even-par after 36 holes, leading the Oregon Tech men's golf team at the Wildcat Fall Classic, hosted by Chico State, at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club.
Competing against primarily NCAA Division II opponents, the Hustlin' Owls (294-291 – 585) sit at 9-over-par as a team – well off the pace established by the host Wildcats (277-262 – 539), who enter tomorrow's final round at 37-under-par.
Over half the field finished the opening two rounds under par, led by Chico's Vincent Vallamsetty (68-65 – 133), who sits at 11-under-par.
Guzlas (71-73 – 144) opened with a 1-under-par morning round, but ended the day in a tie for 37th.
Kade Bracken (74-72 – 146) had the Owls top afternoon round, with he and
Massimo Cereghino (74-73 – 147) ending the day in the Top-50.
Eastyn Ewell (75-73 – 148) and
Colin Field (80-75 – 155) rounded out the OIT competitors.
Tuesday's final round is set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
