MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. – Quality runs from
Kai Miles and
Carson Page helped the Oregon Tech men's cross country team place third at the Jim Hunt Humboldt Invitational at Beau Pre Golf Course.
The Hustlin' Owls finished with 83 place-points – behind Southern Oregon (26) and Cal Poly Humboldt (31), with OIT defeating Division II San Francisco State (99).
Miles was Tech's top finisher for the second straight race, placing 11th with a time of 26:13 over the 8,000-meter distance – 18 seconds faster than his 2024 time on the course.
Bryce Worrell (26:33) was 16th and
Ethan Krieger (26:40) was 17th, while Page shaved 90 seconds off his 2024 time in Humboldt County, clocking a time of 27:15.
Elijah Zavala (27:22) was the No. 5 scorer for Tech.
OIT will take the next two weekends off, preparing for the Willamette Invitational on Oct. 4.
