SALEM, Ore. - Personal best times from
Kai Miles and
Ethan Krieger helped the Oregon Tech men's cross country team to an 11th-place finish at the 51st Annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational at Bush's Pasture Park.
Competing against 27 teams, the Hustlin' Owls posted 306 place points, finishing as the sixth Cascade Conference team in the field. The squad had an 85 second spread between the No. 1 and No. 5 runners, but 65 seconds separated the top two OIT finishers.
Miles was outstanding, placing 22nd overall with the sixth-fastest time in Owls history (24:51) - as the junior was the seventh CCC runner across the line. Also posting a PR was the Krieger (26:14), the Owls No. 5 runner.
Two others cracked the Top-100 -
Bryce Worrell (86th in 25:56) and
Daxton Wilson (88th in 25:56), with
Braedan Doherty (26:06) rounding out the OIT scorers.
Tech will have two weeks to train for the George Oja Invite on Oct. 17.
