MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. – Oregon Tech had three runners place in the Top-10, as the Hustlin' Owls finish a close second at the Jim Hunt Humboldt Invitational at Beau Pre Golf Course.
 
Tech (49) finished 11 points behind host and champ Cal Poly Humboldt (38), but well ahead of third-place Southwestern Oregon CC (74).
 
Kai Miles covered the 8,000-meter course in 25:52 – posting the third-fastest collegiate time. Ethan Krieger (26:02) placed sixth and Bryce Worrell (26:13) was ninth, as the Owls top-three had a solid 21-second split.
 
Curtiss Heier (26:58) and Daxton Wilson (27:07) rounded out the OIT scoring five.
 
OIT will train the next two weeks, with the next action at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem on Oct. 3.
