MARION, Ind. –
Aurora Parsons closed out the Oregon Tech women's track season with a 22nd-place finish in the javelin at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
Battling rain and wind, the junior posted a mark of 36.24 meters (118 feet, 11 inches) in her first of three attempts – as nearly every competitor in the event posting marks well below their seasonal bests due to the conditions.
Maddy Wolf of Kansas Wesleyan won the event with a throw of 44.65 meters (146-6).
It marked the seventh-straight year the Lady Owls have sent competitors to the NAIA Championships.
