CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech's
Eli Stevens was named Cascade Conference Men's Track Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office.
The junior, from Medford, won the decathlon at last week's Pacific Multi-Event Meet, recording the No. 1 decathlon mark in the NAIA this season, scoring 6,668 points – over 300 points ahead of his previous best point total.
Stevens recorded personal best times (and CCC Championship marks) in the 100-meters, 400-meters and 110-meter hurdles, while hitting the NAIA "B" qualifying standard with a clearance of 4.84 meters in the pole vault. He also hit the CCC standard in both the long jump and high jump.
OIT heads to McMinnville this weekend for the Jenn Boyman Invite.
