LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oregon Tech was one of four schools with multiple players selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association NAIA All-America Team, announced today by the governing body.
The Lady Owls double-play tandem of
Kaila Mick and
Nita Cook were each named to the first-team following a fourth-place finish at the NAIA Softball World Series.
Mick becomes the eighth consensus first-team All-American in program history - with OIT recording a consensus first-team pick for the fifth-straight year, joining her mom Brenda (Ruppel) Mick, who earned the distinction in 1998. The Tech shortstop had a remarkable final year in the program, hitting .455 with five home runs and 62 RBI, setting school records with 25 doubles and 11 triples, while establishing new Cascade Conference records for hits and runs scored in a career and setting a new NAIA record for games played and at bats.

Cook joins
Kacie Schmidt (2023) and Tara Moates (2015) as underclassmen who have earned All-America honors from both the NAIA and NFCA. The sophomore second baseman had a breakout 2024 season, hitting .375 with six home runs, 13 doubles, seven triples, 33 RBI and 21 stolen bases and is a candidate for the Rawlings Gold Glove award.
