CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech women's track team closed out the regular-season on Day 2 of the Oregon State High Performance Meet at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
The Lady Owls competed in three running events and two field events in their final tune up for the Cascade Conference Championships.
In the 400-meters,
Eva Brady recorded a season-best time of 1:00.69 – the No. 10 mark in the CCC, with
Lily Everson right behind her with a time of 1:03.24.
Five runners raced in the 800-meters – with
Corinne Childers (2:27.89),
Rachel Newhard (2:28.54) and
Charis Childers (2:30.35) all recording season-best times.
Ally Odell ran the 100-meter hurdles (15.54), cleared 1.57 meters (5 feet, 1 ¾ inches) in the high jump and threw the shot put 10.56 meters (34 feet, 7 ¾ inches). Teammate
Katie Mull paced Tech in the shot put with a throw of 10.63 meters (34 feet, 10 ½ inches).
The Lady Owls turn their attention to the CCC Championships, to be hosted at Moehl Stadium, May 10-11 – the first time the Basin has held the event in 12 years.
