CORVALLIS, Ore. – Five Oregon Tech athletes recorded personal-best times in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, recording a pair of Cascade Conference qualifying marks, as the Lady Owls competed on Day 1 of the Oregon State High Performance Meet at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
Jane Kuebrich posted OIT's best steeplechase mark of the season, recording a time of 11:54.27 – 16 seconds faster than her top time of 2024. Both
Corinne Childers (12:04.62) and
Charis Childers (12:04.68) took eight seconds off their personal best times, while
Rachel Newhard (12:45.27) and
McKenzie Morgan (12:47.22) each met the CCC provisional standard.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Lily Everson clocked a time of 1:09.73;
Katie Mull recorded a mark of 44.78 meters (146 feet, 11 inches) in the hammer throw; with both
Ciena Gregory (37.35 meters / 122 feet, 6 inches) and
Emily Bitler (30.33 meters / 99 feet, 6 inches) competed in the discus.
Day 2 of the meet begins Saturday at 10 a.m.
