ASHLAND, Ore. – Personal best marks in the throws and solid efforts in the middle distance events headlined the Oregon Tech women's track team at the Raider Invitational.
Katie Mull broke her own school record in the hammer throw, with her mark of 46.36 meters (152 feet, 1 inch) ranking No. 6 in the Cascade Conference – surpassing the previous school mark by three centimeters.
Ciena Gregory followed suit in the discus, recording a season-best mark of 38.70 meters (126 feet, 11 inches) – vaulting to No. 7 on the CCC performance list. She added a personal best mark of 35.21 meters (115 feet, 6 inches) in the hammer.
In the javelin, 2-sport athlete
Kate Miles narrowly missed a conference qualifier with a mark of 34.14 meters (112 feet) – just 25 centimeters off the provisional.
On the track, the Lady Owls got a trio of personal best marks in the 1,500-meters – as
Corinne Childers (5:01.29),
Rachel Newhard (5:04.15) and
Charis Childers (5:06.10) all had quality runs.
Lily Everson posted a personal best time of 27.13 seconds in the 200-meters, with
Jane Kuebrich placing third in the 5,000-meters (19:43.88).
Tech closes out the regular-season next weekend, traveling to Corvallis for the OSU High Performance Meet.
