PORTLAND, Ore. – The Oregon Tech women's track team established four new Cascade Conference qualifying marks, adding multiple personal best efforts on Day 2 of the Larry Byerly Invitational at Eldon Fix Track.
The Lady Owls started the big day with the 3,000-meter steeplechase, as
Jane Kuebrich (12:10.27) placed fourth with a PR in the event, while both
Charis Childers (12:12.35) and
Corinne Childers (12:12.72) each hit CCC qualifying marks.
Eva Brady earned a conference mark with a season-best time of 2:20.52 in the 800-meters, with both
Ally Odell (15.33 in the 100-meter hurdles) and
Lily Everson (1:07.06 in the 400-meter hurdles) each hitting personal best marks.
In the field events, Odell tied a career-best with a high jump clearance of 1.57 meters, while in the shot put,
Katie Mull recorded a PR (11.20 meters), while 2-sport athlete
Jozie Ramos hit the CCC qualifying standard with a throw of 10.65 meters.
Next week, Odell will compete in the CCC Multi-Event Championships in La Grande, while the rest of the OIT team will race next Saturday at the Raider Invite in Ashland.
