KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –
Ally Odell recorded a Day 1 personal best score of 2,646 points to hold the lead in the heptathlon, as Oregon Tech made their Moehl Stadium debut – hosting the OIT Invitational.
The meet marks the first home event for the Owls in 12 years and the first following track and stadium upgrades.
On a cold, rainy, windy afternoon, Odell recorded a career-best time of 15.37 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and followed with a season-best clearance of 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch) in the high jump. She won her third event of the day with a mark of 10.06 meters (33 feet, ¼ inch), before ending the day with a time of 27.86 seconds in the 200-meters.
Multnomah's Lilly Guzman sits in second with 2,004 points – including a win in the 200-meters (26.78), with the Lions Isabelle Raisch in third (1,946).
Tomorrow, the heptathlon, along with field events, begin at 10 a.m. – with track events set to start at 12 p.m.
