KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech softball coach
Greg Stewart has announced the signing of three student-athletes to Cascade Conference Letters of Intent to complete his 2027 recruiting class.
Each of the three players are transfers from the 2-year college ranks, each standout student-athletes on and off the diamond.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of three outstanding transfers who will make an immediate impact on our program next season," Stewart said. All three of these young ladies are proven performers who have helped their respective collegiate teams succeed at a high level. This talented trio will provide instant offense next year and have the ability to help us reload defensively in the outfield and in the circle. Our coaching staff is so excited for their decision to become Owls, and we can't wait to see all the ways they will be contributing to the next chapter of Oregon Tech softball."
Cierra Cloud of Cuesta College headlines the group – earning All-Western State Conference and California Community College Athletic Association All-America honors in 2026. The outfielder, from Santa Ynea, Calif., hit .516 as a sophomore, with 15 doubles, a school-record nine triples, six home runs, 48 RBI and 20 stolen bases.
"Cierra will be an outstanding addition to our team next year," Stewart said. "Her skill set gives us a talented outfielder with true centerfield range, and someone who is a complete hitter from the left side. She will be just what we need with the ability to a fill one of the holes at the top of our line-up that we lost to graduation. She has true power, hits for a high average, and can fly on the bases. I am excited to see what she will bring to the table next season as I know she will be an explosive player to watch."
Another outfielder, Lilyana Williams, led the College of San Mateo to the 2025 CCCAA title and a combined 86-6 record during her career. The soon to be junior from San Leandro, Calif., earned All-Coast Conference honors after hitting .343 with seven doubles, four homers, 29 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
"Lilyana has all the tools to be an immediate impact in the outfield for us next season," Stewart stated. "She will bring a ton of valuable experience to Tech after competing at a high level the last two years. She is very athletic with plus speed and great range on defense. Offensively, Lily is a tough out who drives the ball to all fields and gets on base consistently. She makes things happen on the bases and I am expecting that she will be a top run producer for us."
Two-way player Kate Dunham from Walla Walla, Wash., rounds out the group, having led Mount Hood CC to the 2026 NWAC title, earning All-South Region honors. As an outfielder, Dunham combined to hit .426 with 21 home runs and 90 RBI during her two years in Gresham, while in the circle, posted an 18-1 record this spring – earning a spot on the NWAC Tournament All-Tournament team.
"Kate is a true dual threat as she will be counted on to help us win at the plate and in the circle," Stewart said. "She has had tremendous success offensively and has proven to hit with power and average. Kate is a talented athlete that has seen playing time in the outfield and as a pitcher in college. She throws the ball with good velocity and movement and has helped both her high school and junior college programs win a title; I am looking forward to see her compete in the circle for us next year."
The trio joins seven true freshmen who have signed to compete at OIT next year. The Lady Owls are coming off a 43-10 season, claiming their fifth-straight Cascade Conference regular-season title.
