LA GRANDE, Ore. –
Nolan Sieben recorded a personal best mark in the javelin, earning All-Cascade Conference honors with a second-place finish, headlining Oregon Tech athletes on the final day of the CCC Men's Track Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Banner Bank Track.
The Hustlin' Owls finished the two-day event with 50 team points, placing ninth overall – but just five points out of seventh. Eastern Oregon (149.5) claimed the team title with a win in the 4x400-meter relay, surpassing College of Idaho (147) and Trinity Western (102.5).
Sieben unleashed the No. 9 javelin mark in OIT history with his first attempt (61.29 meters / 201 feet, 1 inch), holding the lead until Round 5, when he has surpassed by LC State's (63.06 meters / 206-10).
Evan Sneed added two points for Tech with a seventh-place effort in the 400-meter hurdles (54.87) – the No. 5 mark in OIT history.
The Owls will have three athletes –

Braedan Doherty and Sieben – competing in two weeks at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
