GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Oregon Tech's
Eli Stevens closed out his run at the NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships with a 12th-place finish in the pole vault inside the Alachua Sports and Events Center.
The senior cleared the second qualifying height (4.60 meters / 15 feet, 5 inches), but narrowly missed on three chances at 4.70 meters. Stevens needed to clear 4.80 meters to secure All-America honors.
Ridge Willard of Indiana Wesleyan won the event with a mark of 5.00 meters.
Tech begins the outdoor track season in two weeks at the Pacific Northwest Invite in Corvallis.
