SALEM, Ore. – Battling rainy conditions in the Willamette Valley, Oregon Tech men's athletes won four events and had 12 podium finishes at the Corban Indoor/Outdoor Meet.
Evan Sneed was a double winner in the sprints, winning both the 200-meters (22.87) and the 400-meters (51.07), while
Zachary Hart claimed the weight throw (13.31 meters / 43 feet, 8 inches) and
Logan Shurts won the pole vault (3.80 / 12-5 ½).
Jacob Janeczko took second in the shot put, breaking Tech's school record with a mark of 13.08 meters (42-11).
Hadyn Burk was second in the triple jump (12.07 / 39-7 ¼), with
Tate Wyman second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.93).
Wyman was third in the long jump (6.34 / 20-9 ¾), as was
Ryan Doherty in the high jump (1.75 / 5-8 ¾),
Daxton Wilson in the mile (4:35.31),
Tyler McIntosh in the 60-meters (7.62) and
Lucas Goodrich in the 800-meters (2:04.31). In addition,
Kai Miles narrowly missed OIT's school record in a loaded field of the 3,000-meters, recording a time of 8:45.09.
OIT will close out the indoor regular-season in two weeks at the Eastern Oregon Last Chance Meet.
