OPPONENT PREVIEW – PROVIDENCE (3-6-0, 3-3-0 CCC) | 15TH MEETING | OIT LEADS SERIES, 11-1-2 | LAST MEETING – 2025 (OIT 1, UP 0): The Lady Owls make the longest trip of the Cascade Conference season, traveling to the banks of the Missouri River for a Saturday date at the University of Providence. The Argos have wins this season at Bushnell, at Evergreen and at home vs. Walla Walla, but opponents have a 15-7 edge in goals scored. All-CCC defenders Shae Waters (1 goal) and Te'a Knighton return to anchor the defense, with Autumn Apana-Purcell (2 goals, 1 assist), Jaelyn Chandonnet (1 goals, 1 assist) and Peyton Schmauch (1 goal, 1 assist) the top offensive options. Tech has picked up wins in each of their last three trips to Great Falls, a 2-0 win in 2018, a 3-1 win in 2021 and a 1-0 win in 2023.

ON GRASS: Saturday's match will mark the sixth match of the year that the Lady Owls have played on a natural surface. OIT has a 3-2 record on grass – including wins at Benedictine Mesa, Pacific Union and Evergreen State.

STREAK SNAPPED WITH DRAW: Tech saw a 3-match losing streak snapped on Saturday afternoon with a 1-1 draw against Carroll College. Since 2016, the Lady Owls have dropped three games in a row just twice – in 2024 and in 2026.

FINALLY A GOAL: The Lady Owls found the back of the net on Saturday, as Kaelyn Jaentsch slotted home a goal in the 40th minute to Tech a lead – the first goal scored by the squad in 329 minutes. During the 2026 season, OIT is a combined 4-0-1 when scoring a goal this year, but 0-5 when failing to score.

PILING UP SAVES: Keeper Elle Hillar was busy throughout the weekend, recording five saves in the 1-0 loss to Rocky Mountain, adding a career-high tying seven saves against Carroll. Hillar ranks No. 7 in the CCC with 31 saves on the year and ranks No. 10 in saves per game (3.44).

DEFENDING: Tech continues to play tough defense, as the Lady Owls did not surrender a goal during the run of play (goals were scored on a penalty kick and off a set piece). Five field players – Alejandra Salcedo, Maegan Cooper, Alyssa Hudman, Naaliyah Robison and Kaylie Hashizaki, each played all 180 minutes during the weekend. Hudman has played all 900 minutes on the season, with Robinson playing a full 90 over each of the last six matches, Cooper on a 4-game 90-minute streak and Hashizaki on a 3-game streak.

AROUND THE CCC: Eastern Oregon pulled off the biggest win of the season in the CCC, claiming a 1-0 victory at home over College of Idaho. In addition, Rocky Mountain went on the road and swept OIT and Southern Oregon to climb in the league table, while Warner Pacific went 1-0-1 against Bushnell and Corban. This week, along with SOU and OIT traveling to Providence, Warner Pacific heads to Walla Walla, Corban and Bushnell travel to Evergreen State and Northwest, with Carroll and Rocky continuing a tough road swing at Eastern and C of I.
