All proceeds from the event go to supporting the outstanding student-athletes at Oregon Tech. This past year was a banner for the department, as the Owls earned the Cascade Conference Presidents Cup for Academic Excellence for the seventh-straight year. The department hosted both the Cascade Conference and NAIA Opening Round Softball Championships, with the volleyball, women's soccer, women's golf men's and women's track and field, men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball teams advancing to the NAIA Championships.

The format for the Golf Challenge is a 4-person scramble with numerous opportunities to win great prizes - through on the course competitions, as well as a bucket raffle.  The tournament will also feature a hole-in-one contest for a new car from Lithia.

The cost per individual is $175, with foursomes set for $700. Each golfer will receive an Oregon Tech hat, towel, ball marker, entry into the raffle and lunch provided on the course. In addition, sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals.

Sign-in and warm-up begin at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12 p.m.

"Lithia Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge & Ram and Klamath Falls Toyota, as well as all of the community sponsors, make it possible for our department to run a first-class program," said men's basketball coach and tournament director, Justin Parnell
