LAST SEASON: The 2025-26 golf season was a quality one for both the Oregon Tech men's and women's team, each recording big individual and team performances. The Hustlin' Owls earned two team victories, including setting a school record with a 5-under-par 36-hole performance in winning the LC State Fall Invite. The squad closed the year with a third-place effort at the Cascade Conference Championships. Individually, the trio of Jack Tieman, Cayson VanBeekum and Issey Tanimura led the way – Tieman winning the Firestorm Fall Classic and finishing with a 73.1 stroke average, with VanBeekum setting a school record with a 14-under-par finish in winning the Walla Walla Invite, on his way to an All-CCC season. Unfortunately for the Owls, Tieman and Tanimura have graduated, while VanBeekum has transferred. The Lady Owls were even more impressive, winning the Run-In at the Ranch and the Simpson Spring Invite, while finishing in the Top-4 of all nine regular-season events – including a third-place finish at the CCC Championships. Five different players posted Top-5 finishes on the year, including recent graduates Baylee Hodgman and Brittney Barrington. Tech closed the year earning an at-large bid to the NAIA Championships, where the club narrowly missed the 36-hole cut.
 
MEN'S PREVIEW: With the departure of the top-three scorers from a season ago, the scoring five-some is wide open for the Hustlin' Owls this season. Three returners with experience look to take over the role – as senior Kade Bracken, junior Silas Guzlas and sophomore Grayson Moore will lead the squad. Bracken, the lone senior, finished last season with a 77.4 stroke average, including an eighth-place finish at the C of I Invite. Guzlas placed in all nine events and recorded a 76.3 stroke average, placing seventh at the LCSC Fall Invite and eighth at the CCC Championships – both with a 1-over-par score. Moore finished his freshman season with a 76.1 stroke average and was in the scoring group for all four spring events, including placing 19th at the CCC Championships. Junior Colin Field and sophomores Logan Strop and Cohen Wood hope to make the jump into the qualifying group this season, but will be pushed by high-caliber freshmen in Molalla's Massimo Cereghino and Eastyn Ewell of Uintah High in Utah.
 
WOMEN'S PREVIEW: The Lady Owls open the 2026-27 season ranked No. 19 in the NAIA Preseason Poll and will be battling fellow NAIA Tournament teams British Columbia and Lewis-Clark State throughout the league schedule. Three All-CCC performers are back, as Madison Dick led the team with a 77.38 stroke average during her sophomore season and capped the year with a sixth-place finish at the CCC Championships. Senior Madie Hepner is a two-time All-CCC pick and has a career stroke average of 78 over 56 rounds. Junior Sydney Dick had a 78.9 stroke average and five Top-10 efforts, including a third-place finish at the RCA Electric Invite. Sophomores Alyssa Kauleinamoku and Kali Rowe are back and will be joined by four newcomers – transfer Sydney Stenson from Spokane CC, along with freshmen Lexi Rice from Borah High in Idaho and Henley High products Hayley Sanborn and Payton Susee.
 
SCHEDULE: The season opens on the Owls home course, the Arnold Palmer Signature design at the Running Y, the first of four CCC events on the season (LC State, Corban and Walla Walla will host the remaining events). Both teams will compete this fall at the RCA Electric Invite in Monterey, Calif., along with the Gold Mountain Invite in Bremerton, Wash., while the men's team will compete at Chico State and the women's team will compete at St. Martin's.
