Tyas Selby claimed a victory in the pole vault, hitting the NAIA national meet provisional standard, part of a quality day by the Oregon Tech men's track team at the Jenn Boyman Invitational

The freshman cleared his first three heights on his first attempt, with his mark of 4.87 meters (15 feet, 11 ¾ inches) meeting the NAIA standard. Selby and Southern Oregon's Carson Le Bel each attempted 5.02 meters (16-5), but both were unable to clear the bar.
Also in the pole vault,
Eli Stevens (4.72 | 15-5 ¾) placed third, with
Logan Shurts qualifying for the Cascade Conference meet with a season-best mark of 4.12 meters (13-6 ½).
On the track, the trio of
Braedan Doherty (9:39.14),
Bryce Worrell (9:46.71) and
Tucker Piper (9:58.78) each hit the CCC standard in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, with
Tate Wyman recorded a personal-best time of 15.99 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles – hitting the CCC mark.
Ryan Doherty clocked a season-best time of 49.85 seconds in the 400-meters, while running legs on the 4x100-meter (43.47) and 4x400-meter (3:28.28) relays that secured a spot for Tech at the league meet.
Tech heads next weekend to Monmouth for the John Knight Twilight.
