Bryson Teal recorded a personal best clearance in the pole vault, as the Oregon Tech freshman completed the first decathlon of his career, placing 11th overall at the Cascade Conference Multi-Event Championships at Moehl Stadium.

Eastern Oregon's Justin Krabbenhoff used wins in the 110-meter hurdles, the pole vault and javelin to claim the individual title with 6,623 points – grabbing 10 team points for next month's CCC Championships. His teammate, Tyler Jones (6,143 points) placed second, with Southern Oregon's Coleton Urquhart (6,019) winning the discus to take third.
Teal scored 4,137 points – with his clearance of 3.30 meters (10 feet, 10 inches) in the vault a new career best. He opened the day with a time of 22.44 in the 110-meter hurdles, recorded marks of 17.86 meters (58-7) in the discus and 25.25 meters (82-10) in the javelin, closing the day with a time of 5:27.42 in the 1,500-meters.
The remainder of the OIT team will compete tomorrow, as the Owls host the OIT Invitational.
