MONMOUTH, Ore. – Personal best times in the sprints led the way for the Oregon Tech men's track team on Day 2 of the John Knight Twilight, hosted by Western Oregon at McArthur Field.

Michael Sanchez recorded a time of 11.53 seconds in the 100-meters – the top time of his OIT career, with
Tate Wyman clocking a time of 22.93 seconds in the 200-meters. The duo were joined by
Ryan Doherty and
Tyas Selby to run a season-best time of 43.43 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay.
Doherty added Tech's top time of the day in the 800-meters (1:59.89), while in the field events –
Eli Stevens posted a season-best throw of 35.48 meters (116 feet, 5 inches) in the discus, while
Hadyn Burk narrowly missed a conference mark in the triple jump (11.80 / 38-8 ¾).
The Owls return home next week, hosting the CCC Multi-Event Championships on Thursday and Friday, followed by the OIT Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
