GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Oregon Tech freshman
Tyas Selby placed tenth overall in the pole vault at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
Selby cleared each of his first three heights on his first attempt – converting 4.75 meters (15 feet, 7 inches). However, the Hustlin' Owl clipped the bar at 4.80 meters (15-11) on each of his three attempts.
Hunter Angove won the event with a clearance of 5.25 meters 17-2 ¾).
The Owls will open the outdoor season in two weeks at the Lane Open in Eugene.
