SALEM, Ore. – A personal-best 8,000-meter time from
Kai Miles helped Oregon Tech to an 18th-place finish in the 31-team Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational at Bush's Pasture Park.
The sophomore recorded a 68th-place finish in the 333-runner field, clocking a time of 25:20 over the terrain. He effort helped the Hustlin' Owls record a 72-second split between their first and fifth runners.

Ethan Krieger (25:37) placed 86th, junior
Bryce Worrell (25:56) took 111th, freshman
Elijah Zavala (26:11) was 123rd and junior
Braedan Doherty (26:32) placed 143th to complete Tech's scoring five.
The University of Portland won the meet with 27 place-points, well ahead of the University of Idaho (102). The Owls were the sixth-best Cascade Conference team in the field, with College of Idaho (142) and Southern Oregon (232) leading the group.
