Personal Best Times Highlight Lady Owls Top-10 Finish

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. – All five Oregon Tech scoring runners recorded personal best times, with three athletes running sub 23-minute times over the six-kilometer distance, as the Lady Owls placed tenth overall at the George Oja Invitational, hosted by Linfield, at Oak Knoll Golf Course.

Saundra Parsons finished 37th overall, with her time of 22:00 the fastest by an OIT women's runner since 2018.

"It was a huge day for the ladies," said head coach Mike Anderson. "We ran like a Top-25 team."

The Lady Owls recorded 336 place-points in the 31-team field, ranking second among NAIA schools – finishing behind only Eastern Oregon (242). Boise State (40), Portland (59) and Eastern Washington (89) claimed the podium positions.

Charis Chlders (22:33) finished 63rd, recording a 37-second PR on the course, while Chloe Crawford (22:40) shaved over two minutes off her time from 2024, placing 77th. Both Corinne Childers (23:31) and Raleena Maxson (24:04) added personal best times on the course.

OIT will take a small contingent to next week's Bushnell Invitational – the final tune-up for the Cascade Conference Championships.
