OPPONENT PREVIEW – ROCKY MOUNTAIN: Tech flies to Billings this weekend for a single match vs. Rocky Mountain, with the Battlin' Bears (3-3-1, 1-2-1 CCC) coming off a bye weekend (as Walla Walla, their men's travel partner, is not part of the CCC women's schedule). Rocky split with C of I and Eastern, earning a draw vs. Carroll – thanks to the play of Emma Lensing (4 goals, 1 assist), Mya Maack (2 goals, 1 assist), Mila Allison (2 goals, 1 assist) and Charlize Davis (1 goal, 2 assists). Returning keeper Hannah Trumball (1.43 GAA) is key in goal for RMC. Tech brings a 7-match unbeaten streak against Rocky into the match (including 3-straight wins) and hold a 5-3-2 series edge.
 
TOUGH WEEKEND AGAINST TOP TEAMS: Playing two of the top teams in the CCC table, Tech battled College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon for 180 minutes – but two small stretches were the key in losses to the Yotes and Mounties. Against C of I, OIT hit a pair of crossbars, while the visitors tallied all three goals in a 10-minute second half window. Tech dominated EOU statistically, holding the Mounties without a second half shot, but a first half through-ball was converted – providing the lone goal of the match. It marked the first time since 2014 that OIT dropped consecutive home matches.
 
GOAL STREAK SNAPPED: The shutout loss to C of I ended a 15-match streak of scoring goals – the second longest in program history. OIT posted 16-straight games with a goal scored during the 2021 season.
 
AROUND THE LEAGUE: Carroll and College of Idaho moved to the top of the CCC table with big sweeps, Carroll at home over Bushnell and Corban, with C of I (along with Eastern), sweeping Southern and Tech – with the teams meeting this weekend in Idaho. This week, Bushnell and Corban head to Northwest and Evergreen State, Providence and Carroll are at C of I and Eastern, SOU and OIT head to Rocky, with Warner Pacific and Multnomah meeting in Portland.
 
LEAGUE LEADERS: As a team, the Lady Owls lead the CCC in shutouts (6), ranking No. 2 in assists per game (1.75), No. 4 in shots per game (16.33) and goals against average (0.83), No. 5 in goals per game (2.00), No. 6 in corner kicks (4.08) and No. 7 in fouls per game (6.42). Individually, Brianna Lewis leads the CCC in assists (7) and is No. 7 in shots per game (2.83); Sydney Soskis is No. 3 in assists (4); Kiana Jacobson is No. 4 in goals against average (0.86) and Kiana Jacobson is No. 4 in goals (7) and points (16).
 
RECORD BOOK: Four players rank within the Top-20 of the OIT career record book. Keeper Sydni Nakamura is No. 3 all-time in shutouts (16), ranking No. 6 in goalie wins (21) and in saves (137), midfielder Brianna Lewis is No. 8 in assists (11), forward Kiah Wetzell sits at No. 15 in goals scored (14) and No. 16 in total points (34), while midfielder Kiana Jacobson ranks No. 18 in goals scored (12).
