PORTLAND, Ore. – After a 3-2 win Friday over Warner Pacific, the Oregon Tech (6-5-1, 5-3-0 CCC) men's soccer team finished a weekend sweep of the Portland schools with a 2-1 win Saturday over Multnomah University (3-8, 1-6 CCC) in Cascade Conference play at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex.
Joey Driessen got the Owls on the scoreboard in the 20
th minute converting a penalty kick into the lower left corner.
The Lions tied the game at 1-1 on a Victor Lujan goal just two minutes later.
Tech's
Brennan Gazdik gave the Owls the win when he scored in the 27
th minute, finding the back of the net for the first time this season.
"This was an important weekend for us and to get two wins on the road is always tough," said Head Coach
Matt Munhall. "We will need to be sharp the reminder of the season to maintain a ranking in the top half of the CCC. Everyone will fight for those W's and no one can be taken lightly. It will be an exciting end to the season for sure."
The Hustlin' Owls will return home next weekend for their final home games of the season as they host Evergreen State Friday, and Northwest University Saturday for senior day at the OIT Soccer Field both games are scheduled to start at noon.
