2017 Season: As a junior, Skewes resumed his role as the teams starting keeper, as he played and started in 14 games for the Owls. He had a record of 6-7-1, with a goal against average of 1.27, making 51 saves and picking up 4 shutouts on the season. His role as a goalkeeper helped his team to a 5th place finish in the CCC, with an overall record of 8-8-1. 

2016 Season: Gerardo started and played in 2 games as a sophomore. 

2015 Season: Gerardo started and played in all 17 games for the Owls. He recorded 3 shutouts on the season and was voted the Team Gold Glove winner as the Top Keeper.

Notable Info: Skewes, a four-year player and four-sport athlete, competed at Chaparral High School under the tutelage of head coach Eric Rolwing where he led his team to a 20-4-5 overall mark and a runner-up finish in the state playoffs.  Skewes was a three-time all-conference goalie, while earning Sunrise Conference MVP honors in 2013 and Goalkeeper of the Year accolades in both 2013 and 2014.  Skewes capped off both his junior and senior years named First-Team All-State.  

Coach Munhall coments: Gerardo is a strong goalkeeper that has demonstrated his ability at both the high school and club level. He has a good understanding of the game and works hard to keep his team organized in front of him. We are very excited to have him in our program.
Gerardo is the son of Aldo Skewes and Irma Olvera and plans to major in Applied Psychology beginning this fall at Oregon Tech.
