3.48 GPA Earns OIT Athletics CCC Presidents Cup Award

CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the eighth-straight year, Oregon Tech claimed the prestigious Cascade Conference Presidents Cup for Academic Excellence.

OIT student-athletes posted a 3.48 cumulative grade point average, while 74-percent of student-athletes eligible for the CCC All-Academic Team honors earning the distinction.

The award was designed to recognize overall academic performance based on student-athlete grade point average and the total number of student-athletes receiving Academic All-CCC honors. To earn the distinction, a school must have an overall combined GPA of 3.0 or better and have 60-percent of their student-athletes (sophomores, juniors or seniors) earn Academic All-CCC honors (3.20 or higher GPA).

This season, seven other CCC schools and affiliate schools were honored with the award – Bushnell, Carroll, College of Idaho, Corban, Eastern Oregon, Lewis-Clark State and Southern Oregon.
