LEWISTON, Idaho –
Madison Dick shot a career-best 1-under-par 71, climbing six spots on the final leaderboard, finishing sixth overall at the Cascade Conference Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Lewiston Country Club.
The efforts by the sophomore netted her All-CCC honors, joined on the team by fellow Lady Owl
Madie Hepner, as Tech (305-311-303 – 919) finished the 3-day tournament in third-place.
British Columbia (305-291-297 – 893) claimed the automatic bid to the NAIA Championships with their fifth-straight title, 19 strokes ahead of host Lewis-Clark State (314-399-399 – 912). UBC claimed the Top-3 spots on the leaderboard, as Jessica Ng (75-74-72 – 221) earned medalist honors, two shots ahead of teammates Grace Yao (78-70-75 – 223) and Keira Hou (76-72-75 – 223).
Dick (80-74-71 – 225) was 3-under-par on her outward nine, with the only blemish on the scorecard a double-bogey on Hole 1 – her tenth hole of the day.
Baylee Hodgman (73-78-79 – 230) placed 11th, just ahead of Hepner (78-79-75 – 232) and
Alyssa Kauleinamoku (79-75-78 – 232).
Sydney Dick (81-79-82 – 242) rounded out the OIT competitors, placing 20th.
Both
Madison Dick and Hepner earned All-CCC honors by finishing in the Top-10 of the final CCC stroke average standings through the nine rounds in league play.
OIT will await their fate from the NAIA selection committee, with the at-large selections to the tournament announced next Friday. The NAIA Championships is set for May 19-22 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
