LEWISTON, Idaho –
Baylee Hodgman sits three shots out of the lead, as the Oregon Tech women's golf team closed out Round 2 of the Cascade Conference Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Lewiston Country Club.
The Lady Owls (305-311 – 616) fell from first to third-place after the middle 18 holes, as British Columbia (305-291 – 596) shot a 3-over-par team score to take the lead, with host Lewis-Clark State (314-299 – 613) taking advantage of the home course to surge past Tech. Both Southern Oregon (331-319 – 650) and College of Idaho (330-320 – 650) are a distant fourth.
Hodgman (73-78 – 151) shot a 6-over-par score in Round 2 and trails a trio of UBC golfers – as Keira Hou (76-72 – 148) and Grace Yao (78-70 – 148) hold the lead, a shot ahead of Jessica Ng (75-74 – 149).
Freshman
Alyssa Kauleinamoku (79-75 – 154) had the Owls best round of the day, carding a 3-over-par 75, climbing into a tie for tenth.
Madison Dick (75-80 – 155) is 12th,
Madie Hepner (78-79 – 157) is 14th and
Sydney Dick (81-79 – 160) is 18th heading into Wednesday's final round.
"We found more challenges as a team today," said OIT head coach
Dave Myers. "It is great that Alyssa continued her solid play and currently sits in the Top-10."
The final round is set to begin with tee times at 8 a.m. – with the leaders, including Hodgman, starting their round at 10:20 a.m.
