Lady Owls Go Wire-to-Wire to Win Run-In at the Ranch

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech had five players in the Top-7 overall, as the Lady Owls went wire-to-wire for a commanding victory at the Run-In at the Ranch at Running Y Resort.

COMPLETE RESULTS

OIT (297-307 – 604) claimed a 37-stroke victory over second-place College of Idaho (319-322 – 641), with Southern Oregon (328-317 – 645) in third.

While Tech dominated the team race – SOU's Keira Cheng (73-73 – 146) and C of I's Reece Garey (72-74 – 146) needed a playoff hole to determine the medalist honor. Cheng birdied the par-5 17th hole to take a one-stroke lead, but Garey answered with a birdie on the par-4 18th to force the playoff. Playing the 18th hole again, Cheng posted a birdie, while Garey carded a bogey – giving the Raiders standout the overall win.

The Lady Owls claimed the next five spots on the leaderboard, as Baylee Hodgman (72-78 – 150) took third, Madie Hepner (74-77 – 151) placing fourth, followed by Brittney Barrington (76-77 – 153), Sydney Dick (80-75 -155) and Madison Dick (75-81 – 156).

The Cascade Conference teams return to the course in two weeks at the C of I Invite.
