CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon Tech right fielder
Julien Jones was named Cascade Conference Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the league office.
The senior, from Washougal, Wash., had a record-setting doubleheader on Saturday at Simpson - leading the Hustlin' Owls to a pair of victories. Jones finished 5-for-9 with five extra-base hits and five RBI - recording a double and a 2-run homer in Game 1, followed by solo home runs in each of his first three at bats of Game 2, becoming the first OIT player to record a 3-homer game.
Tech closes out their weekend series at Simpson today, before traveling Friday to Bushnell for a 3-game CCC series.
