BUCKEYE, Ariz. – A tough day at the links has the Oregon Tech women's golf team sitting in fourth-place heading into Wednesday's final round of the Firestorm Fall Invitational at Verrado Golf Club.
The Lady Owls (298-314 – 612) were unable to keep pace with the leaders – as Embry-Riddle (297-289 – 586) takes a 5-stroke lead into the final round over UBC-Okanagan (307-284 – 591), a 12-stroke lead on Arizona Christian (305-293 – 598) and a 26-stroke edge on OIT.
UBC-O's Julia Alexander Carew (71-70 – 141) is the leader in the clubhouse at 3-under-par, one stroke clear of ERAU golfers Bellamaria Mantini (73-69 – 142) and Emma Marshall (74-68 – 142).
Madie Hepner (73-77 – 150) and
Madison Dick (76-77 – 153) had the Lady Owls top rounds of the day, each shooting 5-over-par, with Hepner in 11th to pace the OIT contingent.
Sydney Dick (72-80 – 152) is 16th, with
Baylee Hodgman (77-80 – 157) and
Alyssa Kauleinamoku (77-85 – 162) rounding out the five scorers.
The final round is set for a Wednesday morning start at 8 a.m.
