REDDING, Calif. – Oregon Tech dominated Round 1 of the Simpson Spring Invitational, as all seven Lady Owls sit in the Top-10 of the 36-hole event at Riverview Country Club.
OIT (314) holds a commanding 24-stroke lead on Simpson and Bushnell, who each carded team scores of 338, with Southern Oregon (345) a distant fourth.

Madison Dick (78), with both
Kali Rowe and
Sydney Dick in a 4-way tie for third after shooting 79.
"It was a solid performance by the women today" said head coach
Dave Myers. "It is great to have everyone in the Top-10 after Day 1 and it will be exciting to see how things unfold tomorrow with so many players close to the lead."
Madie Hepner is in eighth-place, but just three shots back after carding an 80, with
Alyssa Kauleinamoku four shots off the pace following an 81.
Brittney Barrington is tenth after a Day 1 85.
The teams close out tournament play tomorrow with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
