Lady Owls Open Spring Season With Bronze Medal Effort

MORGAN HILL, Calif. – Sydney Dick earned a third-place finish, leading the Oregon Tech women's golf team to a bronze medal effort at the RCA Electric Invitational at Coyote Creek Golf Club.

Dick (76-73-82 – 231) finished three shots behind medalist, Kim Penzold (74-75-79 – 228) of host Menlo in windy conditions.

"It was nice that Sydney was able to hang on for a Top-3 finish," said OIT head coach Dave Myers. "The wind really ate us up today."

As a team, the Lady Owls (320-322-326 – 968) had a tough day collectively, as both Dominican (320-321-315 – 956) and Hawaii Pacific (325-330-312 – 967) surged past OIT in the final standings.

Madison Dick (80-79-81 – 240) closed out the tournament in ninth-place, Brittney Barrington (79-85-87 – 251) was 17th, Baylee Hodgman (85-90-81 – 256) placed 18th and Kali Rowe (90-85-82 – 257) was 19th.

Tech returns to the course in two weeks at the Simpson Spring Invite.
