Oregon Tech Golf Signs Two

2021 WGOLF

Women's Golf | December 10, 2021

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head golf coach Dave Myers announced today the signing of two golfers to the Lady Owls women's golf team. The new Lady Owls are Quincy Beyrouty of Salem, Oregon, and Baylee Hodgman of Mesa, Arizona.

Beyrouty comes to Oregon Tech as a transfer from George Fox University this winter and is studying biology-health sciences.  Quincy is a 2019 graduate of Sprague High School in Salem. She qualified for the 6A State Tournament all four years of her high school career, finishing in the top 10 as a junior.  At George Fox, Quincy had a career-scoring average of 77.27.  Her collegiate low round was even par at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura, California.  She has 4 top 10 finishes, including 2 top 5s.  Quincy has carded 2 hole-in-ones in her career. Quincy's younger brother, Sawyer, plays golf for George Fox University.  Quincy's parents are Dena and Jason Beyrouty.

"I am ecstatic that Quincy has chosen to come to play at Oregon Tech!  Quincy's enthusiasm, confidence, and determination will be a huge asset for our team," said Coach Myers.

"I chose OIT for their top academics as well as the values the golf program represents which starts with the coaching staff," said Beyrouty. "I look forward to being pushed on and off the course alongside incredible coaches, teammates, and professors."

Baylee Hodgman will graduate from Highland High School in Mesa, Arizona in the spring of 2022.  She is an outstanding student with a GPA of 3.93 and plans to study mechanical engineering at Tech.  As a junior, Baylee earned the Golden Scholars Award.  Baylee has made great strides in her golf game after starting to play competitive golf her high school freshman year.  Her personal record is an even-par 73.  Baylee shot 78 and 75 at the Division I Arizona State Tournament this year, helping her team to a 7th place finish.

"We are excited to announce that Baylee Hodgman has decided to join the Oregon Tech golf team in the fall of 2022," commented Myers. "I am really looking forward to watching Baylee grow as a student and player here at Tech.  She has worked extremely hard to become a very good player in a short amount of time.  It will be very exciting to see how much she can continue to improve.  She has a very high ceiling."

"I chose to come to Oregon Tech because when I visited, I absolutely fell in love with the area.  I've always wanted to live by the mountains and be surrounded by trees.  The people were all super friendly and it made it really feel like home," said Baylee Hodgman.

Baylee's parents, Alvin and Heather Hodgman, live in Mesa, Arizona.
